I am not a big fan of flying. This is quite unfortunate since it puts a damper on my passion for travel and outdoors. If I could just drive to destinations, I definitely would be more than willing to enjoy many hours of road trip and avoid those unnerving air turbulence. Alas, I can’t drive to Hawai – oh well

On our last trip back for 2009, we, well … I, was tormented by terrible bumps. In my effort to remain calm and look for ways to relax, I know I could always count on a seat by a (clean) window

Another year older, another year wiser? Perhaps I do feel another year MORE blessed and MORE loved. On this day, I’m not only thankful for the good life. I am thankful for family and selflessness. For mom and dad’s unconditional sacrifices, for my siblings unwavering support, for the incredible kindness of true friends and best of all for E and L’s unequivocal love. I thank these people for letting me experience utter completeness: a daughter, a sister, a friend, a wife, and the most profound of them all, a mother. At the end of the day, really, isn’t having and being a part of a family the most precious thing in life?

Rain was the forecast today. It had been cloudy almost the entire day. But just past 5 the clouds broke so I grabbed our dog G, put my son L in the trail running stroller and went for a run. It was beautiful and breezy. Here’s a view of the bay tonight.
