Shipwreck Beach

Just a couple of photographs I was fortunate to take home with me from the lovely Shipwreck Beach in Kaua’i

Reason for the Journey

“We may run, walk, stumble, drive, or fly,
but let us never lose sight of the reason for the journey,
or miss a chance to see a rainbow on the way.”

Just catching up on my backlog of Hawaii photos.
Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten my Kaua’i game, thanks for your patience ;)

Kauapea

Also known as Secret Beach. It’s really not a huge secret, nor was it as hard to get to as how our guide book made it sound like. A gem, nonetheless! It had been raining that morning but the sun peeked when we got there (we manage to get lucky somehow with the weather whenever we go to the North Shore). Rugged and beautiful. Definitely well worth the 5-10 minute hike down.

Spouting Horn

Located along Lawai Road in Poipu, this natural attraction occurs when surf rushes under a lava shelf through a tube and forces water up in the air. The sound produced by this spout is equally impressive. My boys were taking an “early evening nap” (thanks to jetlag) when I decided to check this one out. I am so glad I made that stop.

Prince Kuhio

Every time we visit Kaua’i we spend at least one sunset here.
A tradition, an ode, a promise.
The sunset here never disappoints.
I hope you all are having a lovely evening.

Wishing G was here!

A monk seal enjoyed the quiet evening with us

Good night Kuhio!
